How we publish
Editorial standards
These standards define when AI-assisted material is ready to be treated as a published Buzz Insights article. They also explain what the status labels on article pages mean.
Effective 2 October 2026
Standard 1
Source before synthesis
Every index-eligible article must identify at least two relevant external sources. We prefer original documents, official records, direct statements, research papers, and first-party data over second-hand summaries.
Standard 2
Review labels describe the process
Automation researches, selects topics, writes original drafts and checks each factual assertion against directly read sources. Articles that pass these checks are labelled as automated evidence review. Human editorial approval is identified separately.
Standard 3
Dates must describe real events
Published and modified timestamps come from explicit editorial fields. A feed refresh date is labelled as a feed date and is never presented as proof that an old article was newly published or updated.
Standard 4
Headlines must earn the click
Headlines should be specific, accurate, and proportionate to the evidence. We avoid false urgency, unsupported exclusivity, sensational claims, and hiding the article’s main point simply to attract a click.
Standard 5
High-stakes claims need stronger evidence
Medical, legal, financial, public-safety, and rapidly developing claims require authoritative sourcing and additional care. Buzz Insights is informational and is not a substitute for professional advice.
Standard 6
Search visibility is quality-gated
Indexable articles require useful original content, an explicit publication date, independent sources and a passed evidence review. Article length follows the subject; there is no word-count target. Unverified articles are omitted from article and news sitemaps.
Standard 7
Commercial content is separate
Advertising does not buy favorable editorial coverage. Paid or sponsored material must be clearly labelled, must not imitate independent reporting, and remains subject to safety, accuracy, and legal review.
Legacy archive status
Some older feed items do not carry source, reviewer, or true publication-date data. They remain available for readers, but the site labels their provenance as unavailable and excludes them from search indexing until they are reviewed and upgraded.
Corrections and questions
Send the article link, the disputed statement, and supporting evidence. We record material corrections on the affected article when the publishing system provides correction history.
